The gribot platform general requirements are as follows:

  • Weight: 20 kg (±10%)
  • Maximum working speed: 1.8 km/h, or 0.5 m/s.
  • Travel speed: 1.8 km/h
  • Minimum treatable area: 20’000m2
  • Delimitation of the surface to be treated by GPS RTK: installing a wire is excluded.
  • Distance to the ground of the chassis: min 10cm.
  • Autonomy: 4 hours minimum.
  • Recharging time: max. 4 hours It may be longer when recharging by solar panels.
  • Autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance.
  • Work optimization strategy to make the best use of the battery.
  • Maximum crossable slope: 45°.
  • Minimum passable obstacle height: 10cm.
  • Safety and protection of users and animals.
    • Users and animals must not be allowed to come into contact with rotating parts.
    • The machine must stop when someone or an animal approaches too close.
    • The parts must stop when the machine tilts too much (e. g. lifting by someone).
  • Remote access.
    • Robot activation/disactivation.
    • Status information.
    • Position information.
    • Programming of the operating area.
